Got new boots for the 90

Well, after the saga of ditching the 5 year old General TR that came with the truck for the 33" SSRs that were horrible (bad on road, bad in sand, bad on rocks...), and then the "Indian Michelins XS" (75$ ea. vs Michelin's 180!) that elevated the truck to rallye standards in the sand, but howled like mad on the tarmac, so by the time I reached the sand I was crying from the pain in my ears...I went the sensible route and got some BFG AT/KOs...

I'm a swamper man for the past 8 years, and I love their tires, but not one (which is avaibale in the Middle East, alas the STS would have done it I think) worked for my application for 80% road, but GREAT in the sand...as I'm part of a rallye team (www.teamsaluki.com) and regularly need to speed up in the desert with reliability...

Anyways, I got them in the boring 265/75R16 flavor, which is not the nicest size, but at 109 USD each installed, ballanced, 4 months old rubber & 12 month warrantee on rotation/balancing/wear, they were a steal...I prefered them over the 285s as the TD5 is not so "happy-picky-uppy" as the V8s (despite the 200HP tuning)...

Pics to come...

I looked at teh link.
Although it does not say so, I assume a Saluki is the dog in the site logo?

If you don't mind me asking...

What does this mean:

"Disco on 37s + D90 "NAS" TD5 = no $"

Just wondering,

I think that means transplanting a TD5 into a NAS D90 and setting up a Discovery with 37" tires is quite expensive.

It means that financing two Land Rovers that are heavily modified is extremely costly...

The Discovery is a 1992 with the Toyota Axle conversion, dual winches, custom cage, seats, harness and 37" IROKs and the Defender is a 2002 TD5 NAS-convertablie that is also high maintenance on the pocket...

Simple equation man
