Should be if it has been imported into the US. Better pictures would help us determine if it was a good buy. Showing all the problem areas. There is a red one for sale locally, I am guessing you got a better deal on this one...or don't like red? What did you pay?

If you have doc's stating miles and they are 45K that is pretty good. If it hasn't, the VIN needs to not exceed a range or it would not be importable.

Thanks... I just sent you a message as well. I went through everywhere looking for rust and there is none ( other than some slight surface rust on the exhaust). interior is very clean and not worn, and everything seems to be inline with a car that has 45k miles on it. I am pretty confident on the condition.. my main concern in the NAS Vs. ROW being a 97 from Canada

From what I have seen, NAS command the highest prices with the Japanese/Dubai Spec coming in second, then ROW. There was only so many NAS made, there were a lot more ROW.

When you get the 90, take it for a drive to PC, I would like to check it out as I haven't seen a Japanese spec 90 up close.

If you are happy with it, then consider it a good purchase.

so, after some research I found the NHTSA doc ( LIST OF NONCONFORMING MOTOR VEHICLES THAT ARE ELIGIBLE FOR IMPORTATION) and the vin falls under this list

Congrats on the find. If you get this for under $40K you're getting a nice deal.

Some people are private about their financials. I respect that.

This thread is like posting a pic of a hot chick then asking if you should marry her. For all we know she could have a meth habit, multiple STD's, mental issue but hey she sure looks pretty so she will make a great wife.

My D90

Well after crawling all over ( and under) it yesterday, I pulled the trigger and brought it home really a great driving rig! Surprised at how solid if feels for a nearly 20 year old 4x4 ( no rattles, strange vibrations, or unwanted surprises).. thanks for everyone's input on helping make the right choice.

old friend

Hey I think I know you from way back in the day in South Florida. Your family had a series of Danish Restaurants, and you were a jetski guy. I had an exotic car biz and Guenther introduced us. This is you , right? Welcome to the Defender World. Your truck looks great. Let me know if you need anything, I have been dealing in them since the late 1990s.

Jorgen, I have seen you doing your Racedeck Commercials on Velocity Channel and have meant to reach out to you. Great product. Glad you are doing well.
