Good Alternative to Redline for transmission

Having a very difficult time finding Redline MTL locally.
I definitely want to change the tranmission fluid because I do not know when it was done the last time.
I recently purchased a 94 D90 NAS.

Anyone have a good substitute for the Redline?

Thanks
Andy

Ordered mine from www.jegs.com, shipping to CA can't be more than a few days...

Royal purple Synchromax is relatively easy to come by.

Here are your choices,

http://members.shaw.ca/jbarge/MTF.htm

The easiest to get in Canada are Redline MTL, RP Synchromax, Amsoil MTF and Penzoil Synchromesh, I can find all of these are multiple places in Calgary.

If Redline is what you want, why settle for something else? And if there's no hurry - order it online and have it delivered.

Just get the redline and order it online.

While some people have had good luck with the others, at least one switched to Royal Purple synchromax and was unhappy (and I have nothing against RP as I run their motor oil in everything now).

MTF 94 at the stealership. It's not that expensive.

US dealers do not carry it.

Where abouts are you in Ontario? I have found Redline in the GTA and Ottawa areas easily enough. Try seaching in your area here http://www.redlineoil.com/dealers.asp

Hey Brett,
I am in the Ottawa area. I have seen regular RedLine motor oil in stock but everyone I have seen says they need to order in the MTL.
Any suggestions?

Redline is the best. I tried the Royal Purple. Its good but not as good as the MTL.

Andy, I have been told by friends in Ottawa that you can get Redline at No Limit Auto Parts, http://www.nolimitsautoparts.com/ 2650 Fenton Rd, Ottawa and AutoExtrem, 142 Rue de Varennes #32, Gatineau.
