While putzing around, I noticed this: GM 6L80 Automatic to Land Rover / Range Rover LT230 Transfer Case I don't recall seeing mention of it.

Price went up...it's been around for a while and I think it add's 5" or 8" inches to the driveline length

Frank you're thinking about the 4L80 adapter they make which adds tons of length and creates all kinds of issues. Their 6 speed adapter is similar to Nicks and I assume allows for a more straight-forward fit, but I think the support and other trick parts that Nick offers makes choosing between the two simple.

Here's a comparison shot of the two I took. Nicks is on the left. Or bottom. I'm doing this from my cell phone so I can't tell.

I wonder how quickly you could break stuff with a LS3, 6L90, and under drive. Stand on the brakes and give it full throttle what goes first?

I bet we discover the pinion shaft is a weakness with all this new found power (assuming upgraded axles/diffs/gearsets)

Nicks kit is for the 6l80 not 90...and the first thing to go after you take your foot of the brake is the smile on the jeep owners face that you just left in the dust..

Hi everybody!, I hope you are all doing great.

I just come home from a 4 month road trip with my 1966 series 2a with a LS pulling an 1960 aistream 19ft all around USA and canada (about 13,000 miles and everything working like new, so happy with the swap)...

I just got a land rover 101 FC and I thinking on putting a ls3 to 6l80 and lt230 but I was wondering how long it is everything from the pump to the joke and if will fit in a 101 wheel base. someone can measure it for me?

thanks in advance and have a great weekend.

francisco

sorry for the typos and gramar
