Stupid question probably! (And I have searched the thread as best I can)

I have one of Nicks adaptors and am about to buy a 2015 L77/6L80E out of a Holden Commodore SS

I have been buying up other parts off the list including the truck sump/oil pickup, and also the Lokar Shifter.

My question relates to the Lokar Shifter. Can this shifter be used with the tapup/down (tiptronic) functions that the factory in this case Holden shifter can?

Or will I need to stick with the std shifter?

cheers!

Is a 2015 still a Gen IV or is it Gen V? and yes you can use the tap up/down function with nicks conversion

Gen 1V I believe. I think this is the very last of them?

Tables and comments on the links below suggests that the l77 is still a Gen4

Holden L76 and L77 'Generation IV' V8 engines

https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Holden_Commodore_(VF)

I'm going to see it shortly. Are there any obvious things to check to make sure?

Edit, just done some googling. Its definitely not a gen V.

Make sure you get the parts to convert the 2wd box to a 4! Is a bodge but it still seems to be working after 5000 kilometres 😉

Big step forward in progress on my conversion. Just put a deposit on an engine and box. Should pick it up next Tuesday

It's an L77/6L80 from a 2015 VF Holden Commodore SS. 37000km with everything, inc Auto and shifter, looms, ecu, bcm, throttle, airbox, cats etc etc

Out of this:

Are there any pictures with the front drive shaft installed in the truck.
It's looks scary close.

I'm taking my steering box off to recondition before putting everything in, and my old steering pipes are shot... will I be reusing the defender pipes and just bolting on the adapters in nick's bom? Though I'd check before ordering new pipes.

Some where near the start of this thread are pics of the underside.

how are you guys wiring up the reverse lights? I was hoping to be able to use the neutral safety switch as my reverse switch, but not sure how.

I'm waiting on the body control module but if someone figures out something else that works with the Lokar shifter, I'm all ears.

The BOM calls for braided steel hoses in place of pipes. The adapters convert from the land rover 14/16mm inverted flare fittings to -6an to be used with braided steel hoses. You won't need your land rover PS pipes or reservoir.

My plan is to fab a bracket and position one of these near the shifter mechanism so it's activated when in R.

Don't forget to mount your emergency brake drum on the back of your LT230, it will take up that 2 inch gap in the rear driveshaft.

sorry for the orientation
1. upside down pic of left side (drivers US, i.e. Right side of pic is towards rear of car.)
2. upside down pic of right side (passenger US IE left side of pic is towards rear of car)
3. Front shaft all the way pushed in, no way it will clear bolts. (it did come out this way though...)
4. Rear shaft. I just pulled the shaft out, didn't really tug on it, but it looks a long way off... unless it will extend farther.

How do you screw in the VDO 323095 sensor?

I found this drill bit thing in my parts package from Nick, what is it for?

Thanks
