I'm interested in talking to you about a kit for a RRC. PM'd you a few days ago. Shoot me a message or an email when you have a second.

Has there been a build on a RRC yet? I had hope to have mine going by now but had to put it off for a bit.

My very small contribution to this effort

For those who don't like the chrome bezel on the Dakota gauge, there is a solution. Dakota will ship you a chrome bezel which you can do what you like to. I had mine powder coated matte black. Send it back and they will re-install it in the gauge. My contact is Justin Olsen. justin.olsen@dakotadigital.com. I much prefer this version.

how are you guys doing with donor truck engines and trans? i'm thinking of just going all out with a crate setup (from a shop like jegs or something), 4L70E with auto controller, etc. now if I can just find the right 110...

You will need to find a different adapter as this is only for the 6l80e

I know Nick has a company that does compete create engines, but the ones from Speartech are really cool and have most of the set up you need including the harness, fuel filter, and proper 6L80 trans

No 4-speeds. Nothing from Jegs or Summit but an LC9. No harnesses from Painless either.

Actually, I don't work with SpearTech. Not very helpful. I work with Kolby at TrunkeyEngineSupply.com

For anyone who has installed a Dakota gauge setup. Where did you put the gauge control module? Is there room on the firewall directly behind the gauge cluster? With the steering rack and wiper motor I have my doubts. Where did folks put it?

Yep behind the dash and stick it in with adhesive hook and loop so you can get at it. Seems to work well.

why not use nutzerts so it's more solid? Can't believe there is enough real estate behind the gauge cluster on the firewall to accommodate it. Also need room for the CanBus box too but that's a much smaller unit. I bought the Compass/Outside Temp module too. Would like to have outside temp if possible.

Did you fuse power for the gauge control module? It seemed to indicate it wanted a 5 amp fuse in the instructions.

Could do it all works .I got three boxes mounted behind the dash. Once you cut the loom to splice in the DD box there is more space (mine is RHD). I fuse all power feeds.

After 17 months of a RRC build I have just filled my 3rd tank of gas. Have a few pics in my registry. I have yet to push it very hard and can tell you sometimes it's easier to just put the truck in neutral at a stop light then stand on the brakes as hard as you have to....it has a lot of torque and just wants to go.
I might change my signature to read 99% done.

Your brake signal may not be connected correctly to the ecm. It's required to unlock the torque converter. Connect the AutoCAL and pc to verify the input.
