any pics of the shifter arrangement inside the cab? I'd be doing it on a manual, and those auto consoles are impossible to get hold of over here so was thinking along the limed of the lokar shifter that bolts onto the trans case.... if it left the lever in the right place of course.

think you'd get full articulation on the front axle without the prop fouling something? looks really close to both the trans and the y pipe in that pic.
This installation has a Toyota 3rd member. It's a lot closer than the LR 3rd member. We will see what happens when I articulate it.

I haven't gotten to it yet. I did plug it into the ODBII port. Immediately displayed gear selection, trans temp, check engine light, oil pressure... It's very nice. Trying to get this 110 done so I can get back to my rig.

Rovers North under dash A/C system.
Sanden compressor. Found on most Defenders. (except '97 NAS) Just changed the pulley/clutch.

The cooler is a PermaCool 1022 w/-6 fittings.

Heads up... Les Richmond Auto in Aus has just started a LS D2 conversion also... Interesting to see how that goes, there suggesting it'll be using std instrument cluster.... Keep an eye on their FB page for updates.

Made some progress this week on Recon Rovers D1 6.2L install. This truck has Toyota 3rds. The reinforcing rib on the oil pan looks like it will foul the diff. I expect I have some grinding to do. There is a half inch clearance between the PS pump and the steering box. The alternator is in light contact with the hood reinforcement. I expect the hood reinforcement will get an "adjustment" of some type. So far all the hardware has gone in nicely. I'm using a bare LT230 case at the moment as I have a 1.003:1 LT230 under construction for this car, but it's not ready yet. The engine was installed first and the transmission and transfercase were put in from the bottom on a transmission jack. The engine balances well and the gearboxes can be removed for service without any unusual difficulty. The truck is running 35" tires with 4.56:1 diff gears. I'm expecting to have to swap in some 4:11 third members, as I expect it will be geared too low. I intend to try and rework the wiring harnass myself instead of sending it out. The 6.2 is out of a 2013 Silverado pickup (I think). The intake manifold that I was supplied is GM P/N 12602477. It is set up for the same MAP sensor as the truck intake and also uses the short injectors. The injectors from the pickup are the right length, but they are too small a diameter and are a loose fit in the intake....so I'm about to get an education on GM fuel injectors.

Nick,
i don't think those will work for me. They look like they will add too much length. The injectors aren't too long, they are too small of an OD to fit tightly into the manifold.
