O.k. I got permission from the forum member to post a few pics.

This is a GM Gen 4 mated to a 6 speed and then to the LT230. Guess what...no change needed in your drive lines as this mates up to your LT 230.

Imaging all the HP and gas mileage you could want. WOW. More to come from the forum member.

great feeling for sure…Nick was invaluable answering countless rookie questions. my first time messing with a swap that wasn't a simple carb setup. wiring was intimidating at first but ultimately this swap was pretty easy and came together quickly.

I can't wait to get it on the road. it will be great to fill the 110 with family and gear and still have the power to tow a boston whaler on the highway.

The hooker manifolds are very good quality. plenty of other variables in this swap so I'm happy i just went with them.

A word of caution to any one doing this. Pay very close attention to the fuel hose to rail connection. Not long after i posted that video mine sprung a leak. its sprayed gas all over me and burst into flames. I got burned pretty badly and lucky to be alive. I hate to think what would of happened if i was driving with my family in the truck when this happened.

I've since ready several stories of fittings failing.

Spoke with the folks at Lokar yesterday and they said they will be releasing a 6L80E specific shifter after the new year that will allow for moving through the full range of gears rather than just PRND. They told me it was shown at SEMA however I have yet to find any reference.

I spoke with Lokar last year. They move very slowly. Said it was too early for the 6-speed.

Anyway, the Lokar 4L60 cable shifter works perfectly with the 6L80/90. All the detents are available. Including and extra one that the truck doesn't have. PRNDM21 With the addition of my brackets, it's a perfect fit. The last three detents are programmable.

You can get the metal Dorman fuel line connectors from Summit (and Autozone too) :

And retaining clips :

Or NAPA brand (most likely Dorman ones) :

Another option would be to salvage the metal connectors from the bone yard, cut off the crimped hose & reuse. You get the advantage then of the metal retaining clip.

If you want to go AN fitting, Earl's make a decent looking adaptor that has a safety clip similar to the OEM ones :
