Genuine Head Bolts

Hi Guys,

Replacing the head gasket on my 200 TDI. What are your thoughts on replacing the head bolts? Can I use the same ones? If I replace, should I go genuine? Anything else I should be aware of?

Thanks in advance.

FWIW, I sell the Genuine Head Bolt Kit (all 18) for the 200 TDI for $355

I have an OEM set from the UK for $32 for all 18

I do not have much experience on the 200tdi, but I do know when I work on a regular V8, I always go new bolts.

Only use new bolts. They are designed to stretch into place.

And don't use a drive extension when torquing. Too many overlook this and wonder why they have problems later.

Erik- do you also have a genuine head gasket on hand (no holes)?
