general maintenance on a sunday driver

my yellow 97 soft top has 55k now...i have put only about 1000 miles since february of 06....average about 100 miles per month .... so for over a year i havent changed fluids, oil, filters, seals....she is stored in a temperature controlled garage in charleston sc full time now.... i dont notice any more drips on the floor now than ever before and she continues to crank every time and run perfectly every week, sometimes 2 weeks between rides...

is there anything i should look out for or change no matter what the mileage just from the amount of time that she sits? should i have that oil changed anyway? thanks much

yes. oil will break down over time even when not in use. if you let it sit for a year then try to run it, it wont have the same properties that you expect it to and wont protect your truck. I change mine every 6 months if I havnt travelled 3K miles, but that may be overkill.
I would change the oil, oil filter, and at the very least check all other fluids.
When is the last time the fuel filter was changed? Its a cheap fix and cant hurt to do it.
Also, small leaks like the oil cooler lines may go unnoticed if you dont drive the truck much. Definitely check over those, the transmission lines, and the power steering lines for ANY signs of leaking.

Steven if you wanna bring that thing back to VA one weekend you're welcome to use my garage (Behind my house) and any of my tools. All that stuff is easy, and I'd love to have an excuse not to work on this damn intake manifold that has taken on a mind of its own...

Oh, did I mention I moved to R'mond...
