Gas cap lock & lug nut locks

Hello, I just bought a Defender! My first one and I am soo happy and excited. Itís my dream car, like all of yours are too I bet!

Anyways, I live in Queens, NY... and I need to find a gas cap lock and lug nut locks. The lugs aren't a necessity, but the gas cap is. I donít live in the ghetto, but just for safe measures. Anything else you can think of to project my D would be appreciated! I saw some place selling a gas cap lock but I canít remember. If anyone has the link please send it to me!

Dan

Ebay or ebay UK sells D90 locking gas caps, or Rovers North on their website:
PART # RNE247 LOCKING GAS CAP DEFENDER $31.95

I'm still stumped on locking lug nuts...

You can go to an auto parts store and find the gas cap for aprox 15.00 . I have lost the cap a couple of times and always found the replacement made by slant. If you need wheel locks I might have a set in my garage.

I second the Wal-Mart for the $8 one, I used the Slant. Worked fine.

I've got a couple of LR locking lug nuts around, I'll check and post back later.

I'd Check to see if that gas cap will work on an NAS without much mod's.

Youreally don't need to waste your money on either of these. I live in Chicago and no one messes with either item. Wherever I park. Add to the fact that the lug-nuts are huge and not many people carry a wrench that big. I had a tow truck driver baffled - didn't have the right tools to remove.

I took mine off and sold them to a club member. Royal pain in the ass. The locking mech always got fouled, iced or muddy and if you forget that key your SOL.

Thanks for the info. I don't need PIA items on the Rover.
