Fuel Pump Spacer on TDIs

What do you guys think about this for a 200tdi? I recently replaced my lift pump and have no spacer currently.

I know it is also a good idea to have an electric pump ahead of the lift pump, so that's on my list. Wondering if I should do this spacer too.

Thanks,
Greg

You only need the spacer if you truck came equipped with a early non raised fuel pump plate. This was a carry over from earlier engines and its included with the fuel pump package now.

This shit seems like snake oil
