You don't _have_ to. In the UK, they do not come with the rear sway bar (at least a few years ago, not sure about now).
I removed my rear sway bar and kept the front one.
Road manners are affected, but then I don't drive like a maniac.
I never drove with both removed, but I'd assume it'll feel like a boat more than a truck (at highway speed or when making sharp turns).

I drove some without the front. I wouldnt reccomend, seems it could get a little out of control if you have to make a high speed manuever. Its fine without the rear though. I think the bolts on the front sway bar are 17mm

I chucked both of mine when I upgraded to OME springs and shocks. Don't miss em at all.

Can a D90 front sway bar be installed on a 110 for road use? I can't imagine it takes too long to disconnect it for the trails.

My swy brs hv bn off 4 the 4 yrs Ive ownd the trk. No prblms.

If you upgrade to stiffer springs you'll hardly notice the difference. I swapped springs and removed bars all at once and noticed no difference.

Mine have been off for about 7 years now -- with both stiff OMEs and now RTs and sensible shocks, even with 35s, there's been little difference in sway.

I'm about to pull the trigger too. I have Med Duty springs, HD shocks, and 33" tires so I'll report back what the difference is like. I don't expect much.

On my SW I run OME HD front and MED duty rear, OME shocks, 33 inch tires and no sways bars and it drives great.

Did any of you wild men extend your front brake lines to compensate for the extended travel?

Don't think this is necessary with the stock shocks.

Extended them anyway, it makes working on the brakes easier.
