Front shock stupid question!

I looked for pics everywhere but didn't find anything.

Where the heck do all the rubber bushings go on the front shocks?

I figured 2 on top and one on the bottom.

But theres still an extra 2 bushings?

I can't see how 1 would go under the spring plate on the front axle

I hope this makes sense

The shock tower and the spring perch on the axel both get sandwiched with a rubber bushing and washer on top and bottom.

It does make sense, I just didn't think it would fit under the perch.
Thanks

I think RN has small diagram in the catalog showing you the correct installation

Putting the bottom nut on the shock can be a bit fiddly, but it should have a bushing and washer.

The lower ones, that is correct.

The washers fit to "cup" the bushings.

What wrong with putting the top bushing washers like pictured on the right?

I believe you can break the end of the shock if the shock cannot move side-to-side a few mm. I'm just guessing here. Maybe it won't break the shock but limit it's movement (mainly when flexing the suspension offroad).

I also assumed they should cup the bushings since the OME kit didn't come with a picture like that. I had to guess so all 4 shocks are installed like the "how not to do" picture on the right. I get the lower washers but why the top ones? Articulation? Do I really need to change them all?

Yep. Put them back the way the old ones were installed so I guess Rover's North got it wrong too because they installed the last set. I even asked ARB (OME) if there were special instructions and they said none were needed.
