front license plate attachment

Any ideas how to attach front license plate to the bumper?
Or something nice looking for the plate?

I used the stock bumper mount and added 2 25lb magnets to it so I did not have to drill.

Me three. I have a pile of "no license plate" tickets from Denver. Bastards.

I've actually considered making one that would use the existing holes on the top of the bumper. I can sketch it out if anyone is interested.

I am sure I could just drill two holes and use self taping screws but I was hoping for a cleaner install. I asked my local dealer and they had no clue.

2 Years in Houston Driving w/o a front plate. In 1 month, got 5 from the same officer. At one point I had it zip tied to the brush bar and wrote me up for that because it wasnt properly secured. These trucks have no business with a front plate.

Wow, same officer that many times in such a short period? What a jerk...must have had a huge crush on you! It would be great if double jeopardy could be used for something like that, but obviously can't.

If you have a winch there is a clip on bracket for the fairleads.
I used this;http://www.amazon.com/Moose-Racing-L...191228&sr=8-11
I just had to get larger clamps which can be found at most hardware stores. No drilling and it is a clean look for tube bumpers.

I just used some 25lb magnets on my existing plate mount so I can remove it when wheeling.

You could just get a generic mount from NAPA and use the magnets.

I will look when I am there tonight....

Does the stock bumper have two holes on top at the center? About where you might mount the tags, only expecting the holes on the forward part instead?

If its the stock bumper, there should be 2 holes. I had the same issue in VA. They are getting stingy about using zip ties. Bastards. Drill 2 holes, get 2 bolts, a couplea washers, nuts, and attach it. Or, weld it.

Or install a couple rivnuts in the bumper, but make sure you use anti-seize on the bolts, or plastic machine screws to prevent the rivnut from rusting itself to the screws. That is how the P38 plates were attached to the rear and discos used a bracket with rivnuts for the front. You could always just get a disco bracket and mount that too if you wanted...many options on such a simple bumper design.
