front end shudder after increasing lift from 2" to 3-4"
So I put on around 3-4 " of lift on a 95 DI (rear springs (OME 764) up front with the OME HD and 1" spacers in the back, have bilstein shocks all around, Bilstein stabilzer up front, QT adjusted radius arms in front, SafariGard in rear, Polybushes all around, no change in pan hard rod (stock). DC shafts in front and rear(no problems previously).
PROBLEM: When I am accelerating aggressively the whole front end shudders all the way up into the steering wheel like crazy (doesn't matter could be 30 going to 40 or any other speed) and continues until I slow it down. If I ease into it I can get up to around 70 no probs unless I hit a bump then it shudders again but can be calmed by steering back and forth a little, but if I get after it...shaking. I adjusted the alignment, and replaced the worn tie rod ends, no change.
Could the short panhard rod be causing this?? It's the only thing that hasn't been replaced with modified. Prior to the lift all was well, so I dont think bearings or anything should be responsible. Any ideas? Anyone else had this problem?
