Question Front Driveshaft Bolt Orientation

Is there any reason the bolts fastening the front driveshaft to the T/C output yoke are oriented with the bolt heads facing the T/C?
In order to replace the bolts, the output yoke has to be removed.

Cheers...

I don't think there is space for nut on the TC side.

This and there may not be enough room for the bolt to protrude through the nut.

Thumbs up

Reversed them, no problem.
The reason for the question...I was removing my front ds and one of the bolt threads was stripped from the output yoke side. This may have happened when built 18 years ago. He bolt was only snug, the other three were incredibly tight.
Removing the stripped nut was not that difficult...just drilled the sides out a 180 degrees apart, then split in half. The inside threads of the nut were nearly gone, I'm supprised it lasted as long as it did...
I removed the output yoke in hope I could remove the said bolt...but the mud shield was in the way. So, I carefully cut the bolt heads off and re-installed new bolts with the heads facing forward.

All is good...
Cheers...
