front caliper brakeline

Strange thing these D90s.... I'm was in the process of disassembling the front end and noticed a small brake line jumper from the flexline to the caliper. To remove the caliper I had to disconnect this line. Well since I have a 94 she was pretty rusty; needless to say I now need to replace them.

My thought is, why not just connect the flexline directly to the caliper? I know I'd need some sort of adaptor, to change the size....

If i need to replace it, is this a custom bend or can this be purchased?

I'll try and get some pics up tonight.
Cheers,

You can try to fab your own by recycling the fittings and flaring the ends yourself. Tubing is available at napa. Problem is with that little tube is that the bends are really tight and hard to form. The line doesnt cost that much (probably under 25) so Id call RDS and see if George has one in stock.

I think Dave Merchand replaced his lines with stainless steal lines from East Coast Rovers.

If I am reading this correctly, I broke the same hard line. It was a major PITA to find one, and I eventually went to the dealer and they ordered one. I thought I was going to be raped but it turned out to be only around 10$ per line, so that is a pretty decent option if you choose to keep the solid brake line.

I converted my rear axle to a Disco 1 one when I did my toyota conversion and now it has sway bar mounts that the original axle didnt have. Do you think it would be better to get a new hard brake line or just cut off the sway bar mounts? Thanks
