Footwells

What's the best way to repair footwells? I heard there are no repair panels? Does anyone repair bulkheads?

Thanks for any info.

Buy a new bulkhead. You can use series footwell repair panels are they are basically the same, but if that is that bad down there, the top fo the bulkhead probably have issues too. If you don't want to buy series panels, there is a post by bstraw in the small project sections about he fixed a much smaller problem with his bulkhead.

to get a good repair, your going to need access to both sides of the bulkhead. Which means you pull it and get a new one.

Where's the best place to get a new one? Pre-Galvanized would be nice I suppose.

ECR had one that did not need much work for $300. Not sure if it sold.

Otherwise, I would keep my eye out. New they are $1600 and that is for a non-NAS one. In the interim, you can just patch what you have with some plate steel and POR 15 it and then undercoat the side that faces the tire. I am in the process of doing this with my LWB.

listing is kinda older, but no indication its sold. I would jump on this if it's available still. It looks like a better starting point than what you have.
