Foggy Gauges

So as a newbie I must ask some newbie questions. The temp guage and the fuel gauge get a little foggy when the engine comes up to temp. The tach and the speedo are fine adn dry. Are the guages vacum guages, thus causing the condensation inside the glass or is it something else?

It just happens. Mine havent done it in quite a while might have something to do with the horribly dry weather we have had. At times my gauges have been more foggy than others. I read somewhere that the fix was to drill some small holes in the back of the gauges.

It is random and part of the experience. You can defog them quicker by opening the bulkhead vents if the air is dry outside.

This was one of the questions I asked the service department when my 90 was new and still under warranty. Their response "nature of the beast".
