The flat-4 trailer connector installed on the back of my Landy isn't working as expected. I'm confused by what I see on the multi-meter.
I'm going to pickup my inbound Sankey trailer this week - and so have a magnetic tow kit as a temporary measure to get it home (https://www.amazon.com/gp/product/B00X0ZJCQA/). When the temp lights are plugged into the 4-pin the behavior is:
- Running Lights are fine
- Right Turn is fine
- Brake lights illuminate both left and right lamps fine
- Left turn does not work.
On the multimeter - I get 12v across GND and Left pins when brake is applied. But I can't accurately see what voltage is coming across those when turn signal is on - as it's variable (blinking) - and I don't have a "Max" feature on my multi-meter.
I got a 4-way tester like this: https://www.amazon.com/gp/product/B001EOV46U
and it shows a DIM LED on Left when turn signal is on.
Loose ground? or Loose connection to left turn bulb?
