flasher unit or turn signal switch

Folks - 1988 RHD 110 v-8

looking for a little help troubleshooting a turn signal issue.

Turn signals quite - no noise, noise turn signals, no turn signal lamp on dash. NADA

The fuse is fine (tail lights and fan work on same fuse).

How can ? differentiate a flasher problem from a turn signal switch problem?

Turn signal switch is 2 yr-old lucas. flasher unit is Hella TB-64 (PRC8876)original?

Could change both but if these symptoms point to one or the other it would help

PS - horn and high beam on the same switch as the turn signals work fine - so there appears to be power to the switch

thanks

Hose down the internals of the hazard switch with some contact cleaner for starters and cycle it several times. My money is on it is dirty inside or corroded.

I ended up replacing hazard, light, turn and washer stalks/switches. 20 years makes for a lot of wear and you can get new stuff for not much $$. Makes things look nicer.
