Final thoughts on my other threads!!
You all have been entirely helpfull in my efforts to diagnose my trucks problems lately so thanks. Here is where I am at. I pulled and inspected everything from the emergency brake back and was only able to come to the conclusion that the odd clunking noise coming from the underside of my truck was a bad passenger side wheel bearing. I went to have it replaced yesterday and the mechanic was an idiot. Anyway one thing I did was drain the already way low diff fluid and refill. Well upon driving home from the mechanics shop without the wheel bearing replaced my clunking noise started to go away. Now please remember that I drove the truck with the rear drive shaft off and still got the same problems, but the mechanics shop before I could get my hands on them had replaced my u-joints. Is it possible that this bad noise was coming from the rear diff which was dry? Again remember it is now barely there and is consistantly barely there.
