feed 200tdi lift pump from Facet fuel pump ?

Just about to hook up the fuel lines on a 200tdi replacing a 2.25 gas engine in a 110. The Rover has a main and auxillary fuel tank under the left hand seat. There are separate feeds and returns from each tank through a changeover valve. The easiest thing to do is just put a small pipe in to bypass the Facet pump mounted on the chassis but was curious if anyone had fed the 200tdi lift pump from the Facet electric pump. The carb was fed and returned fuel from filter mounted on the bulkhead.

No need to feed it with a facet.
