Factory head unit + sub

I know that Rover had a sub as an option, has anyone used thier factory head unit and a sub/amp?

I have done it in my SW. Factory head unit with two 10's and xtant amp.

The stereo shop did it for me, but I think they just tapped the rear speaker wires at the head unit and ran them to the amp. Also, they wired the amp remote this way. There was some other kind of box that they put in there to attach the RCA cables to. A good stereo place could surely know how to do it for you.

What amp did you use? I think its line level inputs that one needs to use amp with factory head. I am looking into this I guess Ill post up when I get it figured out. I really like the factory radio and cd changer.

It was an Xtant amp, but any amp should work.
