Fabricating an evaporator case for '93 NAS 110 V8 A/C

Im attempting to fix my A/C and the PO glued the evaporator case together. It was destroyed trying to remove it. The part (RTC7588) is obsolete and I cant seem to find one. Im wondering if anyone else has had to attempt to fabricate something or if there are other alternatives. I think I need to finally bail on this AC system and go aftermarket, but Im really trying to keep everything original if possible. Any suggestions? thanks for the help

I PMed you me email, but the ticket to ride is to replace your AC with the new under dash unit.

Some of those units come available every once in a while but move pretty quickly. The units were also used in Saudi spec Defenders. Is the box completely destroyed or can you just replace the guts?

this is what the pot of gold looks like - I found this pic on the forum. Thanks for all the suggestions. I did get a couple of PMs and may be able to get my hands on one. I need to (reluctantly) convert to after market ASAP - this AC is killing me. I appreciate the responses.
