what top are you planning on installing?

If its a Badger the UK kit wont have all the parts to install.

I remember reading a post recently saying that Atlantic British is the US distrubutor for Exmoore.
Found it: http://www.defendersource.com/forum/...ead.php?t=9799

Ron,

I plan on altering my Best Top to fit the Gutter Kit. I realize that I will have to fab up some brackets to mount the kit to the body tub, windshield, and roll bar. With exchange rates, the kit will cost around $180. Are there any foriegn taxes when ordering from the UK?

AB's containers are the untold secret to saving I believe.

No VAT for foreigners. The only way you can beat ABs price is if you know someone that can get you the product at a discount and pays around 10 US cents per lb for shipping.

Pacific Custom Land Rovers in Vancouver, B.C., Canada is a North American dealer of Exmoor also.

I was thinking of buying from them if I don't go Badger.

It's just a thought right now. I need to figure out how I am going to alter the section of the top that is over the top of the door. What I really need are pictures of how the top fastens to the gutter top. It looks like there are three straps that slip through the gutter top.

Cheers...

You can probably have it shipped directly from Exmoor using Royal Mail. Much cheaper than using a shipping company

Its not really much cheaper, I've paid some exhorbitant shipping rates for Royal Mail and ParcelForce. I advocate UPS or FedEx. All my Exmoor stuff was shipped via UPS. It cost more than a hundred, but I had it in 4 days.

Just courious, how do the taxes and shipping charges work with ordering from the UK? I assume you just used your credit card?

Cheers...

I have some of their replacement seat covers and foam in stock for sale if anyone is interested. I can also give advice on installations. We are adding their products to our catalog.

It was mine, I think I gave it to Ron with a pile of parts. He might have sold it. Sorry, no pix.

Basically though, the fabric door seal was removed and replaced with a bound edge. Then a reinforcing piece was sewn in above the door and the three little straps were attached to that. The three little straps are what holds the top tight to the gutter rail kit.
