Exhaust Gasket/Olive b/w y-pipe & muffler

Is an exhaust gasket/olive required/suggested b/w the y-pipe flange and the muffler flange?

Ill say yes unless you weld the two together which would be an inconvenience for me. Mine rattled quite a bit and I bashed it into the y-pipe with a hammer, it seals up and doesnt leak or rattle anymore.

I had a pretty solid leak coming from that area. Replaced the gaskets (less than an hour) and leak's gone. They are pretty cheap and the job's relatively easy.

What gasket did you use? I called Manhattan euro parts today and they said there wasn't a gasket for the 95

According to Eric at AB...the gasket should be welded into the y-pipe
