Exhaust flange question

This is the old one off the driver side I replaced last summer. I cut it off a 1995 RRC. Worked like a charm. My problem now is my passenger side flange is starting to do the same. I'm having trouble finding rover v8's in the junk yards.
Question: can this be repaired? Or remanufactured at my local machine shop?

I hate to say this, but it might be time to spring for a new y-pipe.

There is no way in hell I'm spending $1200-$3000 on a new y-pipe.

I don't know much about machine shops but figured I should be able to drop this off and either have them fix it or copy it. What do you guys think?

I'd take it to a muffler shop not a machine shop.

As far as y pipes go, yards cut the cats out of everything since its against federal law for anyone to sell you a used one and they get around $200 for cats from most cars so they sell them legally to recyclers

Looks like you are over estimating the cost by several 100 percent

That's a heck of a deal!! On Rovers North it was over $3000. Borla and NPR are around $1300. I'm going to keep searching junk yards and hopefully I find one before it gets as bad as the one pictured above.

I could care less about cats as both of mine are hollowed out. I'd like to find a shop that would take then out completely. I have the Rover registered in Michigan so I don't have to worry about emissions BS.

I'm looking too. Some fuckwad cut the cats out of my '90 RRC that was stored on commerical property while I built my garage. I discovered it when I started it up and the exhaust was wide open. Oh, I failed to mention the trans fluid pouring on the ground where they cut through the fucking cooler lines too.

All that ATF wasted and it could have gone right in the diesel fuel tank.

I have a sload of old V8 exhaust systems.
Was offered $150 a pair for intact cats if anyone needs a good used Range Rover or Discovery exhaust system or trade for a trip to and from West Point to bring back a Mercedes OM602.

Did the fella agree on the swap for the Mercedes? We can run Saturday early. Sunday is St Paddy's Day and I'll be in Ocean View at the parade!

It's between nowhere and somewhere in Virginia. The people talk kinda funny.

I stole a few Y-pipes from Tillery when I was there the last time...he had his back turned and he wouldn't sell them to me since that would be illegal.

I could probably cut you a flange if needed...do you want to see a pic?

Yeah and when his back was turned, Will didn't hear you because he was playing some of that fantastic music he produces that I never got a CD of even though he promised me one!

Yards can't/won't sell y pipes/cats. Its against federal law -your best bet is a craigs list part out or post on disco web under wanted. You want to find one local as an old y pipe has brittle platinum honey comb cats and they seldom survive shipping

I'm close to you and pretty sure I have one. I'll check in the morning. Assume you just want the flange and 6" of pipe?

Yes sir that is what I need. Douglas-I do not Ned cats. In fact I'm going to ask my local exhaust shop to cut them off when I get my flange installed.

I have what you need. Give me your address and I'll ship it to you. I haven't posted anything in the Free Shipped (pay it forward thread) that Pendy started after receiving some bearings from Jafir.
