Ex-Mod Screw In Light Benefits

I'm considering removing the ex-mod screw in lights on the front and rear of my Defender. I'd like to install the black trim around the headlights which isn't possible with the current lights on the truck.

Are there any benefits to using those ex-mod screw in lights? I'm guessing they are quick to replace, but that they are also harder to find here stateside.

I'm thinking about going with something more like this:

Well they are unique and cool. Some do remove them in favor of another look or the brighter led's that are now available. I like the early screw on's with the glass beehive lenses. The newer plastic ones, not so much.

It is possible, but you'll just have to modify the plastic trim a bit. Way easier and cheaper than changing the lights.

As for benefits, it makes it very easy to change a bulb.
