ERR5009 source?

Does anyone have a good source for a Bosch 200tdi Starter?

Part #: ERR5009

My starter is starting to die (as evidenced by intermittent starting and a grinding noise that lingers shortly after starting.)

Have you tried to take it apart & clean it ? Probably just grimed-up from years of use.

I got mine from Paddock Spares three years ago for £145.00 and had it in about four days. I want to say I paid $50-70 in shipping and customs fees, but that was their cheapest shipping option, which was also very quick.

Agreed. I was going to replace the alt on my old disco; then I happened upon a shop that rebuilds 'em. $50 for bearing and brushes installed and cleaned up.

Paddocks sell the Britpart ones..which actually work and last over the years.

I use have one each in my 300tdi and 200tdi.

Any reconditioning shop will fix them also.

Most likely you simply need to clean and lube the bendix.
