ERC8164 - 11 BLADE V8 DEF Fan?

Does anyone have any info on the optional defender 11 blade fan assembly ERC8164? Is anyone running this? Looking for a fan upgrade for my 4.6 engine. Went with the classic setup but as a few others who have also gone that route, it exploded on me. Hesitant to go that route again, but the stock defender clutch and fan can't handle the AC running on a hot day.

I was looking at a DII fan blade assembly the other day. It appeared to be identical in diameter to the DI but has the full circumference ring. Has anyone tried it?

That would need to spin the opposite direction.

Are you telling me a have to go back to the other thread to look at it even though I probably looked at it the first time it was posted and have since forgotten?

There are a whole bunch of threads here and on Dweb on GM viscous couplings and fans for Defenders and Discoveries. L8 is probably a good source for ERC8164

the flex fans blades flatten out as engine speed increase, supposed to move a lot of air at low speeds
