equipe bumper

I really like the looks of their tube bumper. If anyone has one, I would like some close up pictures from different angles. I would just buy one but that is not possible. There isn't one available in the country and won't be for who knows how long. I'm going to just make one similar and need help cheating. Thanks

The bumper is awesome in looks and I trust Gustavo when he says it's just as functional. The smile on his face when he bolted it to his 110 spoke volumes.

It's on my Christmas list but I don't think Santa's going to stuff it in his bag for me. I never liked Santa anyway.

Did you verify with Justin about the scarcity of the bumper?

Hi Shane, I'm Shane too.

Yes,, he said there isn't any in the country and there won't be for a while. I thought about overbuilding the shit out of one for myself. When I'm done, I could keep the measurements and material list to pass on to anyone else that wants one.

He he he he! I bought last known Equipe bumper in the U.S. for my 110. It shows up Thursday!

I had one on my D90 and I think it's the best looking bumper available. They are well build and I love the swivel shackles on the front. Their quality is what made me spend another $900 to get one for my 110.

Just checked on eBay and found this: http://nomadoverlandproducts.com/winch-bumpers.php

Very similar to the Equipe design.

I also like his rock sliders. Just imported a set like that from Paddock Spares but like his connections better.

Follow-up Post:

Honestly Jonathan, I think that bumper would look like crap on your 110. The thin, tubular design won't work with your bulky truck. It's going to look goofy as hell. Might as well put your "One Life, Live It" sticker back on.

A thick, Warn bumper will look much better.

I'll help you out bro and take it off your hands for you. I can be there on Thursday and sign for it with the UPS guy to save you the trouble.

Just trying to help out.

sweet! If I can figure a way to get that here for a reasonable price, I'd buy it before building it. Have you dealt with that company at all?

I emailed him about pair of sliders and he said :
"Hi, the cheapest price i can find to ship to the USA is 105, thanks, Adam."

I do like his stuff. I just need to get off the horse and pull the trigger. I need slider and a bumper.

No haven't dealt with them, just found it. Seems like a reasonable price. I just had rock sliders shipped from the UK and they made it here in five days (held up in customs for a day). Shipping was about $120.

The site is a bit sketchy and their's no contact info listed. However, his eBay ratings look good: http://cgi.ebay.com/Landrover-defend...item4cec8f0688

If you can get the swivel shackles on it it would look pretty good.

Follow-up Post:

$170 sounds a right for shipping. Michael if you're looking for rock sliders with the tree sliders (nerf bar) check out Paddock Spares. My only complaint about them is they didn't pack well and there were a few scratches that I had to touch up. Aside from that the sliders are solid.

cool. I sent him an email asking if he could add swivel recovery to it and shipping to the US. If it works out, I'll post pictures and a detailed writeup about the quality of it. If not, I'll just build one.

Okay I will chime in

Jonathan is absolutely right AWESOME BUMPERS, he had the non A-frame before ( I have that style on my 110 now ) and now he is getting an X style ( competition, closer to the grill, so it must be cut to put the winch ), and I had the regular A-Frame on my 90.

Cory ( Shane ) it is 100% correct about my smile, we were frozen at ROTR, still we installed my bumper.

NOW
There are about 10 KNOCK OFFS Equipe looking bumpers, ( remember Scorpion Racing ? ) and no one came close to the design except SR.

Now, there is a reason I am not at liberty to share ast to WHY there is none in the country, BUT, if you really really really want one, it can be had, just that the freight charge and the New Equipe list price might make you not want it.

I hope I don't get a kick in the butt from Justin for this, but trust me, I know how it feels when you MUST have something evn if it is the LAST ONE available ( I can top you Jonathan ) in the WORLD.

The copycat bumpers are nowhere near as well made as the Equipe for sure, there is a copy sitting in my shed that has been sandblasted and you can take one look at it and then the Equipe and you will never think of trying to build your own or buying a copy ever again.
