Hi all, notice a drip or two on the garage floor lately, seems to be temperature related. Outside temp gets to 75 or so in there and she lets a drip loose.
Anyway, the drip looks to be coming from around the little weep hole in the bottom of the transmission right where it mates to the engine bellhousing. Not sure if this is really a weep hole, but that's what it appears to be. It is a recangular cutout rounghly a half inch long and maybe a quarter inch wide. Anyway I was in a meeting earlier this morning and got to thinking about it.
Could this be a signal that there is some engine to transmission leak and it is designed to show up by dripping through this weep hole? The face, or forward surface of the transmission or transfer case is dirty, but dry. The sump surface is dry.
Getting ready for Tellico in April, just don't want a catastrophic failure if I can avoid it....
