Does anyone care to update this thread with newer information. I would like to go with a fridge set up in the 90 but am only running a single Optima battery. Are there newer/better brands that the Engel or ARB mentioned?
Thank you in advance,
Clay

I have a 60 quart for family camping that lives in my tow rig and a Engel 15 for the 90. They are excellent.

I ended up going with the new ARB, which I am very pleased with. I created a plywood mount for it on the RHS wheel well. I can post a picture in a little bit to show how it's mounted.

Clay, you will be ok with a single optima. It will run the fridge overnight and still have plenty of juice to start it next day. (guess I should add a disclaimer. "depending on size of fridge")

If you have deep pockets and want "the best" I can hook you up with a http://www.nationalluna.com

I've had an Engel 45 for about 5 years and it has been super reliable. I love it. I recently got an Engel 35 for my wife to use in her Disco 2. She likes having one just as much as me.
I use a single Optima yellow top. 24 hrs with the fridge set on 2 or 3 is no problem for the batt. A full two days is pushing it, but I have done it. A " normal" batt works ok too but the continued discharge and charge kills them prematurely. My Interstate died in a year that's when I got the optima. So far Opima has lasted 2.5 years with no problems.
I leave my fridge in my 110 and keep in on 24/7 for weeks at a time. Especially in the summer when a cold"drink" is needed after a hard days work!
Anyway love the Engel good luck.

I love my Engel 45. I think it looks a lot better in a Defender than the ARB. It fits perfectly between the wheel wells with a stack of Pelican 1610s.
