Elite AC Kit Install

I'm getting set to install a new AC kit in my RHD 90. Since my vehicle is an '84, the holes for the pipes and drain tube are not there. Does anybody have a newer RHD bulkhead with those holes in place that could measure the locations of them?

Thanks,
Dave

Dimensions 'H' and 'W' as shown in these photos, or some other way of locating them. Thanks again for the help.

Dave,

I might be able to get the dims for you in a few days if no one else steps up from my td5 rhd bulkhead. Might not be perfect since I patched the holes but should get you close

Also tdiguy might be able to help, he gave me the lhd hole size / locations

If I remember correctly the earlier years bulkhead could have been RHD or LHD. The two holes on the side of the fuse box recess are the same on this bulkhead as the one on the 85 I re-built. My aftermarket kit for the LHD used the hole on the right of the fusebox for the A/C hoses. It stands to figure that the hole on the left would be used for the A/C hoses for the RHD A/C? On the LHD truck the left hole was filled with a blank rubber gasket.

2 3/8 inches from the fuse box cut out to the center of the opening
1 1/4 from the top crease to the top of the hole
1 3/4 long
1 1/8 wide

DB,
Position the unit inside the truck and use a grease pencil to mark it. The gromet is huge and allows some leeway. I use a hole saw but a punchout tool would be better.

Mike the Elite system is later OE (td5 and late 300) and requires a hole in the front of the floor

Hey Doug

Thanks, I guess I was hoping for a ballpark measurement at least to get me started. I've tried a few sources and I think I have what I need. Grease pencil is a good idea.

From my new TD5 bulkhead, I would guess everything is in the proper place since it was a new never installed bulkhead.

Better late than never I hope

C. 10.250
D. 7.400
E. 13.900

Thanks again to all who helped with this, I see now that there not too many places the hole can go as the unit is pretty tight into the footwell. I basically put it hard up against the bulkhead center section and lined up the front edge of the under-dash unit with the front edge of the existing dash. It was a bitch getting the 2" pipe fitting through the hole and grommet in the firewall. So far the hardest part of the job has been getting the condensor installed, as it is not an direct fit in my older and non-standard vehicle. I ended up moving it back about 1.5 inches and tilting it a bit to clear the bonnet latch. I had to totally redo the upper brackets for the condensor. Not a big deal just alot of trips back and forth to the bench/vise/lump hammer. I'll get the compressor in and the rest of the pipes hooked up this weekend and hopefully get it wired up too. Then get it charged and maybe checked out by the pros. Just in time for the next heat wave...

Elite instructions are somewhat sparse on detail and accuracy.
