Electrical Question

First time I took the dash apart and I forgot to label 4 wires. I have 4 wires that i have no idea where to plug into. I think they go on the back of the indicator lights but I am not sure where. There are 5 possibilities. Two sets on each side and one in the middle top. As seen in the pic. One white wire with black stripe and one black wire. Then two that are taped together one grey and red wire, and one white wire. I have a 1995 st so no wiper or back window. The rave cd doesn't seem to help. Any thoughts? I am afraid to guess. The gauges are all working correctly except the speed lights but I may have busted them. Thx

Thanks for the pics, still can not figure it out. The grey/red wire and solid white wire that are taped together are coming from the the right side cream light bank wire bundle. If that makes since. The other single solid black wire and solid white wire are coming from the upper back right if that helps.
From the picture above the black wire goes in the upper and the white and black wire goes in the lower of the upper right plug that is a heated screen space. Would that make since? I do not have one.
The other other two" red gray, and solid white" wires still have no clue. I do have a plug at the lower bottom middle section that is not pictured above.
They were all plugged in when I took it apart. Any more thoughts. I can try to shoot better pics tomorrow.

Wishful thinking but could any of them have to do with the speedometer lights, ground maybe. Neither of the two lights are working on the speedometer and I cant believe i broke both lights. Still stumped.

Well after looking under tech articles and under more dash lights- they appear to be for the Oil pressure ind & overheating indicator. In Joshua's pic the temp light has the white and black and white wires. These leaves the white and grey/Red wire left. Does anyone know which goes on top? Can anyone confirm this sounds correct. Thanks.

Have you hooked a meter up to it yet? I would check to see if has voltage with truck off, truck on, light switch off, light switch on....

you might be able to get a better idea on whats it for based on that.

Just a thought.

If these are going to the instrument cluster then Red/Grey is the Engine Check Light and White/Black is for the Seatbelt Light. Black is a ground

I know I am beating a dead horse here but:
4 wires:

These are taped together:
Solid White
Grey & Red

Solid Black
White Wire with Black Stripe

Where do I plugs these in?
Seat belt would have to go on the plug left of the pic? Which one on top black or white/Black stripe
Check engine light-would that go on the one right of the pic. Which wire on top or bottom?

Can anybody through me a bone and unscrew the two screws tilt it back and check for me. It would be much appreciated.

I am installing a new td5 dash and this is what I am hung up on.
Thanks

Which wire on top or bottom?

[/QUOTE]

On a light bulb it doesn't matter which wire connects top or bottom, generally you'll find if it does matter in a car their will be a connector the prevents you getting it wrong.

I don't have access to my car for a few days so can't pull off and take a picture ...

actually it doesn't matter initially ... you need to connect it then work out under what circumstances it lights up ... and then match it to the correct bulb once you know.

You won't do any damage.

The black lead probably connects to something else not this light cluster.
