Terry, I don't mean to send you away, but I don't know of anyone with electric windows in there defenders in the US. You may want to check the LRE forum, there are allot of knowledgeable people over there that may have done what you are saying. But if you do find out and you don't mind post here your findings, this has been asked before by some US owners and they didn't have much luck.

Don't let this discourage you. It CAN be done to any car with roll-up windows. Some just take more fabrication and creativity than others.

Saw a kit advertised in either LRO or LRW. I'll look it up this afternoon, and send you the name of the company that sells the kit.

Terry. Bought my kit from Falcon 4x4 in the UK made specifically for Defenders.
Im probably the only guy in the US with power doors and windows.

You need to know about electriical wiring and connections. It comes with instructions and you can download photos from the site as well.

Pick up just about any american published hot rod magazine and you will find power window kits that will work for the defender. Most are generic kits for flat glass and cost is around $130-200 for two windows. I am considering the same for mine since the roll up guts are just about shot and it would be cheaper to put in heavy duty power windows than buy the mechanisms for two doors.
