EGR Sensor Port on 300Tdi Manifold

I have a threaded port on the manifold. It used to have a broken sensor in it that was removed by guy who rebuilt the engine. Don't think I need the sensor, so does someone know the diameter and thread count for it? Would like to find a plug for it.

Thx

The factory plug is ETC5577. Same plug used for the the head temperature port and the block coolant drain. Quite cheap.

No, not the intake manifold. I guess it's really in the valley between the head and the intake manifold.

Thanks

Do you mean the EGR port on the maifold ? The egr was used only on later 300 models and the early models had a simple block off plate and gasket held on by two bolts. If yours had a sensor on it it was most likely a pyrometer as this is where they are typically mounted. The block off plate kit is cheap but my advise would be to fit another pyrometer. Its the most important gauge for a tdi.

Jason has the block off plates on ebay
