Deal direct, as in through one of the reps. Great support and a much better price than the one someone found on eBay that was posted on the other thread.

I believe he's been on dweb forever...

The NC peeps know him.
I'm in the camp that believes the chip does little to nothing for seat-of-the-pants performance.
I base that on friends's reports; not my own.

My experience with a Tornado chip custom designed for my motor (4.6l, low-mid cam, triple angle valve job, ported and polished heads ) by Mark Adams himself was that it wasn't anywhere near worth the money.
Hard to even tell the difference - except to the wallet.

I have that chip sitting in my basement.
It changes the fuel map for 4.6 14CUX engines.
I haven't installed it yet but as I understand it, it helps you squeeze all the performance out of doing a 4.6 upgrade.
Same reason people run 4.2 ECU's on their 4.6 14CUX engine. This just takes it a little farther.

I don't catch your drift, did the 4.2 factory ecu have a more powerful program than the 4.6 ecu?

And can anyone really vouch for the technical wherewithal of the guy on eBay selling the $175 chip? My interest is for a '91 RRC swb with a 4.6 from a '99 swapped into it, but never chipped for the swap.

Search over on Dweb... he uses the same user name as his eBay name. He's been making these for over 10 yrs I think and I've never heard anything bad about them or him.

If you wan to learn more about changing the fuel maps on the 14cux, there's a 50+ page thread on Piston Heads.
