ECM Relocate

Thinking about relocating my ECM to my Tuffy center console as it would be a lot drier location. Looking for input either way. Planning to cut the entire engine harness and extend it using well sealed Deutsch connectors. Thinking about relocating the main and fuel pump relays and fault display in there too. Thoughts?

Mike Hippert stuck his ECU into a tupperware container in the stock location and he's been known to sink his 90.

Anyone know of a source for the 14CUX ECU connectors (both the harness side and the ECU)? I guess I can scavenge both from a junkyard but figured they have to be available somewhere too. I want to make a "pass through" adapter that I can tap into and leave the harness and ECU stock.

thanks,
charles

I never could track down the AMP part number in any catalog. I do have an ECU side connector that I chopped out of one, which I don't need anymore. Open to any cheap offer for it :-)

I'm just planning to extend my harness by cutting somewhere in the middle. I'd consider going with a new connector at the ECM if I could source one; although your color coding on the wires would likely go out the window and you would have to rely on pin numbers for t/s.
