Early and late heater core / matrix

Is there any difference between the early and late models of heater cores besides the bent tubes?

I want to replace mine from the constant leaking/blowing of coolant and a replacement with bent tubes is considerably more dime.

I have a early RHD truck style box and bent pipes currently.

The pipes on my late heater matrix are plastic. I think you'll need some different flexible pipes.

you might want to look into an aftermarket high out put heater matrix.... some claim 50% more heat transfer

or a cheap replacement: http://www.paddockspares.com/pp/DEFE...pes_pipes.html
