Dynamat Source

Looking to order Dynamat for the D90. Ebay seems to be the place to go, just curious if anyone has a better source. So far it seems to be about $4/sq ft with shipping. Anyone got a place for less than that?

Thanks,
Alex

I purchased a Mega Pack and when I compared the ebay price + shipping it was about the same as getting it from a reputable online company (I have ebay trust issues0

I think I purchased from summit racing but will have to check to make sure

sorry to hijack, but is there any real benefit to doing this on a soft top? I'm thinking about not just sound but maybe temperature insulating properites as well. wondering if anyones ever done a comparison of these things on a vehicle without a hardtop.
thanks,
HB

Dynamat extreme and it looks like Amazon might be winning at price per sq ft with shipping.

B quiet is cheaper but is it the same as dynamat?

I run a hard top in the winter and I'm looking for some help with the doors when I have my techno music turned up loud, a little less vibration/door rattle would be nice

You can do your own research on the appropriate forums, but yes.... Also, if you really want more noise reduction, add two layers. It gives more than twice the noise reduction.

B-quiet also sells Dynamat. You can see the noise figures here: http://www.b-quiet.com/compare.html

For the higher noise reduction a combination of a layer of a damper and a composite will do the most.

You may want to check out hush mat as well...similar product

just make sure that wherever you install the extreme you want it to stay there! that stuff doesn't come off very easily (as you would assume it shouldn't)

about $3/sqft with foil face and adhesive back. Never used it myself but I've heard of some other people on the board using it.

I think the VB2 is providing as much damping as the butyl sheet is, it's more expensive but makes doing things like the doors much easier.
