dumb question

Can the cig lighter have enough power to get the lighter hot but not enough to power my Sirius. It just stopped working. The 20amp fuse is ok.

Highly unlikely, electronics use very little power. If you lighter works then any electrogizmo should as well.

Have you checked the fuse in the device power cord? Usually the tip unscrews and there is a glass fuse inside. I would check that before you start digging into the car.

I have gone through two car chargers from Sirius and three portable units. There stuff is junk. Try a cell phone charger if you have one but my money is on bad quipment. If so call them and threaten to cancel your subscripition because of poor quality and they should offer you a great deal or free stuff to stay on board.

Bad power cord. It was a new one. Went to Best Buy and bought another kit and that one was bad as well. Two bad cords in two purchases. Crazy. Couldn't live with regular radio though..

Thanks guys

That is because it is british. I have one little plastic sleeve that goes over the plugs to tighten it up. I wish I knew where I could get some more.
