Dual Batteries -- Automatic Charging Relays

All-- This topic seems widely discussed. Here is a good recent article from Trailer Boats on setting up a dual battery systems using the newer components available, pluses and minuses, and a list of some of the product available.

"House" battery = winch or accessory battery

I've been using both the Blue Seas and the Xantrex (sometimes both in the RV or boat systems with several battery banks and generators, solar systems etc.) and highly regard them both. Also have used the National Luna system in some of the Rover projects. The NL system has some nice in cab management features.

Looks pretty neat. I guess I just don't have a problem with my marine switch. Batt 1, Batt 2, Both, and off. Both charge equally and I can use just 1 if I want. Simple. I will be interested to see how it works out. Something to think about.
