Dual Batteries...again, but

Anyone used the likes of this:

Single Rectifier Isolator | Battery Isolators | Perfect Switch, LLC

I have heard that starting and deep cycle batteries have differing charging preferences, hence the fancy doodad battery control systems out there I suppose.

But for 15 years one the sailboat we just used the good old rotary battery selector and we never had problems (that I am aware of).

So this rectifier seems even simpler. Thoughts?

Eric.
