At the same time? Or individual components?

200TDI - mid 90 to mid 94

LT77 - 84 to mid 90

LT77S - mid 90 to mid 94

LT230 - Every single one of them.

These trucks are made of Lego. You can match and match parts from any time.

Probabaly should have named this thread "what year is my truck?"
More options:

36 spline steering wheel
Larger (wider) dash vent

Anything else I can look for?

Problem is.....The older trucks have been worked on, since they are older, and various parts replaced. If you look on the frame forward of the bulkhead, on the outside, you may have a year stamped in the frame. You may also look for a serial number on the LH frame rail near the front of the truck in and around the welded on jack point protrusion. Do you have rubber electrical connections at the bulkhead firewall engine side? The 87 did not come standard with that engine set up. If the engine was replaced with the 200 Tdi that is one thing. Do you have disc brakes front and rear? Is the front disc vented or solid. All of this should help you to track down everything. You can also check the serial number on the engine, RH below the head, to see what year the engine block is.

Thank you! I have discs up front and drums on the rear. I am positive at this point the truck does not match the VIN number. I will investigate the block serial number as well as vented rotors. The serial number on the frame is no longer with us...

Yes, well. Was the "rebuild" not made clear when you purchased it?

Are you trying to tell us you did not know before you purchased it that the 200TDI was not an engine in 1987?

Is it a problem having newer parts on the truck and is this something you want made public?

I am saying at this point, I do not know what year the truck is. The rebuild was never "made clear" because I never asked. I wanted the truck. Besides, you said earlier, "trucks are made of Lego. You can match and match parts from any time." My knowledge of these truck when I purchased it, is irrelevant to today. The third question, I am not sure what your asking?

Well say hypothetically speaking a truck is not rebuilt but has just had a VIN swap.... This is not something that needs to be public.

If it is a rebuild it could be made of huge variety of parts from any years. I doubt that half the parts on my truck were on it when it left the factory.

What exactly are you trying to figure out?

No, early V8 110s had LT95s with intergral T-case. 1983-84 I think 85 they switched to LT85 and later to LT77 and later still to R380
