Doors

Question for the folks who know

My doors at the bottom are rusted pretty bad, seems like I see this a lot
To weld them or buy them?
So the question is, is it possible to weld em?
Thx

You might want to start by informing us as to what vehicle you have - but, I've been trying to get at this question also for the doors on my 110. There is a part available out there for doing this & some instruction videos around, but I've never seen or heard a confirmation from anyone particularly credible that it works out in reality:

the mfr's part pg:
Land Rover Defender Door Repair Section - YRM Metal Solutions

the mfr's install demo, such as it is:
Land Rover Defender & Series 2 & 3 Door Repair Section - YRM Metal Solutions

U.S.-friendly vendor showing a re-searchable part number:
DA4086 | Door Bottom Repair - Land Rover Part DA4086

1/2 doors or roll up windows? If they are 1/2 doors I have a set for you for a fair price.

There are two profiles for the door frames. My 110's split doors have the same profile as series rigs. At some point rover changed the profile used in the door frames. Confirm your profile before ordering repair channels. I stripped all of my doors, blasted them and then welded in repair channels, then had them galvanized. The door frame material is pretty thin, but a competent welder should have no problems.
