Door Trouble

My ExMOD soft top doors are rusting out so after much question asking I bought a pair of Series doors. The locking mechanism doesn't fit, the exterior handle sticks out to far and hits the door skin.
Options?
Will series door mechanisms work with my current latches?
Find the correct doors?
Cut off the steel from the old doors and move it to the new doors?

HELP! I'm off work this week and REALLY wanted to get this project done.

Suggest that you get a set of anti-burst locks and latches. The Series latches that are for the "wedge" handle set are NLA. Do your Series doors have the hole for the key cylinder in the handle pocket?

I had to bend the handles to clear the pocket cleanly.
For something so simple they can be a PIA

I don't know about the brakes, only their unreliability.
