Door latch adjustment / replacement?

My drivers door handle / latch is very loose. There is no resistance when you lift up on it from the outside to open the door especially when comparing to the passenger side.

Is this something that I can adjust from the inside by removing the door panel or is it time to replace?

Thanks in advance,
Neal

Don't know if its the same problem, but my passenger side handle had the same symptoms when I purchased the truck. I sprayed lube in every orifice around the lock and latch. It freed it up. It was stuck in the open postion and wouldn't latch closed.

I think you can also move the door striker pin that is on the truck bed, to the outside a tiny bit to help with this.

Great -- I have a wurth lubricant that generally works well.

I will try it -- but it's not so much that there are problems opening closing the door as there just isn't enough resistance in the handle.

Will report back.

Sorry to bring up an old thread but I could not find anything from searching. Anyone have instructions on how to install a new latch mechanism for a 93 110 SW? It looks like the mechanism is between metal pieces without a way of getting it out?

Thank you all for not answering my question and forcing me to dig deeper into the manual. Found my answer. Ha ha! I'll post this for any other lazy bum just looking for the quick answer.
